It is made up of the individual amino acids Glycine, Proline, Hydroxyproline, and Arginine, plus in the natural world originates in animal tissue, primarily bones and connective tissue. So it is quite clear that taking collagen will help not only in our skin becoming better but also our bones and joints ( we are talking about the body joints here ) becoming healthier.
Now when we know what collagen basically is, the next question that arises is, why do we have to consume it externally? Don’t we have it already or aren’t we getting it from the food we are eating ? The answer is quite simple and yet quite complicated. For instance, protein shakes, why do we take them? Our food already has protein !!
